THE PEER EDUCATION MODEL
We believe in peer education because we know that young people are uniquely knowledgeable and
capable of instructing their peers. Studies consistently show that peer education works.
It's only to be expected that youth should understand, better than any adult, the current attitudes,
issues, and needs of their fellow students around sexuality and consent. No one is better equipped
to teach young people in a way that is relevant to their lived experiences than their peers.
Under our peer education model, student presenters are trained to lead productive discussions with
their peers about consent, gender and sexuality, and bystander intervention. The benefit to students
and peer educators alike is unmatched.
